ABOUT US:
At Paw Paw’s Donuts, we spread joy through our food experiences. We started as a pop-up bakery selling at the Crescent City Farmers Market, and we recently opened our first physical location in Old Metairie. We are looking for a part-time Cashier to help us as we grow the business and delight our customers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have some experience as a cashier (bonus points if you’ve previously worked at a farmers market)
Show up on time as a professional every day
Be a people person who loves making everyone who visits us feel welcome
Passionate about food and people
Actively identify areas for self-improvement and welcome critical feedback
Be flexible enough to accommodate the daily challenges of a small business
Comfortable with working outside during any season in New Orleans
Able to lift 50 lbs
DUTIES:
Perform excellent, personalized customer service
Box up customers’ donut orders with precision and care
Assist the market cook with breakfast sandwich assembly as needed
Packing/unpacking market gear
Keep up with side tasks to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
Wash dishes and perform regular deep cleaning of market gear
Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
WAGES / BENEFITS:
$15/hr + tips (typically $5 / hr)
Free coffee, donuts, shift meal
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Position will start at 15 hrs / week
Must have open availability on Thursdays and Sundays
